Lippa, S-ciànco, Pirinel, Massa and Pindol: whatever you call it, what matters is playing!

Behind these different names lies the same ancient gesture: a stick, a small piece of wood to strike and launch, and the challenge of sending it as far as possible. Lippa is one of the oldest and most widespread traditional games in the world, a practice that has crossed territories and generations while preserving the joy of challenge and sharing.

Every year, the sharp strike of the manego and the flight of the S-ciànco return to the spotlight during the International Lippa Tournament, an event that brings together communities from different countries and regions to celebrate a shared tradition. Each territory brings its own name, variations, and stories, but on the field everyone comes together around the same values: fair play, precision, skill, and respect for the opponent.

The tournament becomes a meeting place between different cultures, where memory comes alive through play and an ancient gesture continues to be passed on to new generations. Through powerful throws, spectacular catches, and challenges that last until the final strike, Lippa returns in its most authentic form: a game built on technique, passion, and team spirit.

This edition will welcome communities from Verona, the Irish delegation, Garessio (Cuneo), Mede Milano with Fio e Fiulat d’La Lippa, Guidizzolo, as well as international representatives from Croatia, Slovenia, and Catalonia.
