TOCATÌ - INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF GAMES
IN THE STREET
18-20 september 2026
In this 24th edition of Tocatì, Ireland meets the Italy of courtyards and town squares: Ireland’s traditional games and sports are the Guests of Honour at Tocatì 2026.
From 18 to 20 September, the squares of Veronetta will become a meeting place between distant worlds, connected by an invisible thread that weaves together play and memory. Skills, movements and rhythms will give voice to a living culture that still finds its shared playing grounds today in the fields of Kerry and the courtyards of Dublin.
Once again, Tocatì will be an invitation to take part and share. Alongside the Guests of Honour, visitors will discover Italian traditional games and a rich programme of cultural activities that, for three days, transform Verona into a meeting place for the world.
Tocatì The history of the festival
In 2022, the Tocatì Programme was recognised by UNESCO as a Good Safeguarding Practice of Intangible Cultural Heritage, the first and only example in Italy to receive this distinction.
