Bridge Film Festival and Circolo of Cinema
This year, “The Film That Touches You” returns for its 13th edition in Tocatì, in collaboration with Bridge Film Festival and Circolo del Cinema.
On Friday the 18th at 8:30 pm, the screening “Christy,” set in the suburbs of Cork, will feature an intense social drama exploring fraternal bonds and the search for belonging. Director Brendan Canty’s debut addresses the burden of social heritage and the economic inequalities that shape the fate of new generations.

On Saturday 19 September at 4pm the documentary “From that small Island”, which tells an ambitious global story of Ireland. From antiquity to the present, it explores the migrations, identity and impact of a small people numbering over 80 million descendants in the world.

From 8.30pm the documentaries The GAA: From the Cradle to the Grave, John Mitchel’s GAC Glenullin (20 min) and Fód Nua (New Ground) (18 min) will be screened, which delve into the GAA, its local history, its roots in Irish history, but also the network that has been created throughout Europe to celebrate Gaelic games and the values that unite them: friendship, inclusion, belonging.
Sunday, September 20th at 10:00 am “The Hand and the Voice” which deals with a journey to discover the game of morra, from Corsica to Friuli. Dialects, cunning, and liberation intertwine in a centuries-old, visceral, and passionate ritual.
