Emotions at Play
curated by ABEO ODV Verona
Seven shapes, infinite worlds: this is Tangram, an ancient game that starts from a simple square and opens up to a thousand possibilities. Then there are Lego bricks, combining creativity and technique to bring colorful dreams to life. With Patatrack, the challenge is to build, dismantle, and start again, keeping a shaky tower of small blocks balanced. And with Tubation, tubes turn into animals, castles, and spaceships.
These games, played daily in the Day Hospital and Pediatric Oncohematology ward at the Woman and Child Hospital of Verona, become precious tools. They allow children to express themselves, imagine, and feel free. To experience authentic emotions and transform reality with imagination and lightness. Because even within hospital walls, play remains a right and a joy.
