Games & Players
Games communities of players of all ages are returning to Verona to celebrate the UNESCO recognition of Tocatì. They bear witness to a timeless heritage of sociality and culture, handed down from generation to generation and are the living expression of contemporary practices in continuous evolution, with an identity that is becoming fluid and changing to respond to the complexity of life as we know it. In an era that questions the sustainability of the way we live and how we relate to the territory we inhabit, traditional games and sports show us a way to reconnect with our living spaces, as well as a way to come together as equals in a suspended time devoid of prejudice, where one and only one thought is predominant: play! In this 21st edition, with Guest of Honour Portugal, we embrace the territory from which playing derives through the local language and the language of the games.
