International race with the Cannata (Water Jug On Head)

Women and young girls: this race is reserved for you! Originating in Ciociaria (area south-east of Rome) as a female practice of carrying a water jug balanced on one’s head, today this custom has turned into a playful activity. The Association Pro loco of Arpino (FR) together with
the community of “Corrida e Lançamento de Cântaros” will show you how not to lose your balance and how to cross the finishing line without losing a single drop of water.
