EVENING of SATURDAY 14 th
8.30 PM presentation – 9.00 PM beginning of the projection. With the presence of film director Alessandro Scilitani and Paolo Rumiz, 2 unpublished documentaries
Alla ricerca di Europa (lit. “Searching for Europe”) 60 minutes
Europe was born in the East, in the land of Phoenicians. It was Jupiter, in love with her, who took her across the sea to the West after deceiving her under the guise of a tame white bull. Moya is an English boat that has spent most of its existence in England. Historian and skipper Piero Tassinari and writer Paolo Rumiz feel the need to show what it means to be European, what Europe is, and then trace where Europe was born.
Thus, begins a journey in the Mediterranean, between Turkey and Greece, in search of Europe.
Il canto del ritorno (lit. “Home-coming song”) 50 minutes
A journey on foot, at a slow pace, starting from Amatrice and passing through Accumoli, Arquata del Tronto, Castelluccio, Norcia, up to Visso. The goddess of the Abyss thunders everywhere in our peninsula, like a sleeping dragon who sometimes moves its tail careless of our souls. And yet there are those who resist. Beyond the wrong constructions and reconstructions, beyond the errors of man, the anger at the absence of relief and the controversy, the intention of the documentary is to dwell on the stories of resistance, the virtuous stories.
