Tocatì offers guided tours to show the history of life along the river Adige in Verona across time, in two different itineraries of two hours each, on Saturday and Sunday morning on the right bank and on Saturday and Sunday afternoon on the left bank. The tours are curated by Gruppo CTG La Fenice, with the association’s President Dr. Paola Pisani as a tour guide, and prof. Maurizio d’Alessandro. Fluvial Verona has characterized life itself and the origin of the city of Verona, which rose on the shores of the river Adige. The city pulsed strongly on the river: of the 50 districts in which the city was divided, nearly half were on the Adige’s shores. The districts used the river for its hydraulic strength, with floating mills that continued working for centuries and an industrious microcosm of activities which are now unthinkable, but of great help to the city’s life.
