…..BREATHLESSLY AT TOCATI’….
Mauro Covacich steps up his game once more at the Festival with “A Perdifiato” (lit. “Breathlessly”) the first restless piece of the “Ciclo delle stelle” series, republished this year by La nave di Teseo. It’s an intense story of challenges, where the events in the marathon runner’s life and his sportsman biography appear as a brave pretext designed to put in the background the book’s true theme: the difficulty of taking parental responsibility and of reviving a couple’s relationship that seems unaware it’s being watched in its profound generative crisis. Real life is what gives remarkable inspiration for these stories with unexpected endings, where the theme is always his journey, his own tormented inner search. Carolina Pernigo, Italian Studies expert from
“Critica Letteraria” and author of profound considerations on “La città interiore”, the autobiographic novel with which Covacich reached the finals of the Campiello prize 2017, and Annalisa Buzzola, young and appreciated philologist from Verona, will converse with him on Sunday the 16 th of September at 10:30 am at Sala Nervi. Introduction by Chiara Stella.
