The documentary, shot by Alexandre Mourot at the Jeanne D’Arc de Roubaix school, the oldest Montessori school for children in France, shows the daily lives of 28 young boys and girls happy to learn alone and in group, freely nourishing their own desire for knowledge. With the support of materials structured and scientifically created by Maria Montessori, a silent teacher prepares and individually proposes them to the children. In the scene documenting this care for the relationship, what Maria Montessori used to say takes shape: “What would the adult be without the child that helps him grow up?”. Alexandre Mourot and the Professor Claudio Girelli are going to be there during the proiection day.
A special thanks goes to Fondazione San Zeno for supporting the event, organized in collaboration with the Montessori Association in Verona, the Cinema Circle, and the Theatre Fiume.
