A conference-workshop about an hour long will be available in the atrium of Museo Civico di Storia Naturale (City
Museum of Natural History). There will be playful experiments on a larger scale, and playful experiments that each participant can try in first person with take-away materials.
The Italian tradition of science and games will be illustrated with experiments that include Ruzzola and marbles on Galileo’s inclined plane, Torricelli’s ball and cannon-syringes, Magiotti’s Cartesian Devils, the vortexrings described by Leonardo, and the rings of coloring agents and smoke.
