Like Boule Plombée, Galoch Sur Billot is originally from the Région de Morlaix, North Finistère, a fascinating land bathed by the Atlantic Ocean. Dating back to the 12 th century, this game was played in the streets, cafes and during the county festivals, involving all the citizens. Today it’s possible to challenge yourself to the launch of disks or metal plates during the competition organized each year by the Association des Joueurs de Galoche sur Billot du Pays de Lanmeur (lit. “Association of Players of Galoch sur Billot from the Town of Lanmeur”) and its 73 members.
