It was 2012 when Roberto Rizzini, author, singer-songwriter, music therapist and co-owner of a famous pub in Verona, had an idea and invited some friends at his house in the district of Avesa, friends just as passionate as him about food, wine and good music: a philosopher chef who plays the double bass, a cellist doctor, a singer jurist, a musicologist who plays the mandolin, a teacher who plays the accordion and a guitarist jurist. That day, sipping on Valpolicella wine, they became Contrada Lorì: a band that encloses the value of a territory and animates with passion and enthusiasm all of Verona’s squares and pubs.
A free, genuine and ever-expanding creative project that can bring together traditional repertory and sophisticated sonwriting . In 2014 they released their debut album “Doman l’è festa” with Vaggimal Records and at the end of 2015 “Eviva il mar” with Are Zovo Musica. They had two nationally nomination to the target Tenco in the dialects album section and they partecipated in Folkest contest, in 2018. It is released, still for Are Zovo Music, “Cicole e Ciacole”, the album that is going to be submit even at Tocatì.
