The “bissa” is a typical wooden boat used at Garda Lake and Iseo Lake, heritage of an ancient tradition that dates back to the Venetian Republic. It currently features about a hundred athletes between 15 and 75 years old. Once a year, at dusk, they hold the evocative championship “Bandiera del Lago” (lit. “Lake Flag”), which awards the best male crew since 1967 and, since 2013, the best female crew as well. During Tocatì, Centro Nautico Bardolino is the chosen guest to share this sport’s culture and techniques.
